American Utility Specialist (AUS) offers underground leak detection services for leaks in buried water lines, heat lines, pool systems, and geothermal systems . We find leaks under sidewalks, concrete floors, asphalt, grass, and dirt.
AUS also offers private and commercial utility locates for buried electric, telephone, cable TV, gas, water, sewer, and steam lines. Additionally, AUS offers ground fault services. We find (broken wires) in buried electric lines.
Metal detection services are also available for finding buried property line markers and manhole covers.

UNDERGROUND LEAK DETECTION:
American Utility Specialists, utilizes the latest leak detecting technology with acoustic listening equipment, digital trace gas detection equipment, and thermal heat detection equipment to identify and isolate leak location. Leak detection equipment may be useful for any closed system such as buried water lines, geothermal heat systems, hot water heat systems, irrigation systems, or any closed system that develops a leak and surface detection is not immediately visible. Trace gas detection is used to find leaks under grass or dirt, Acoustic listening equipment is usful in detecting leaks under concrete and asphalt, and thermal heat detection is useful in locating leaks from hot water systems under floors and sidewalks. UNDERGROUND UTILITY LOCATION:
State of the art equipment is used to locate electrically conductive utilities. We find underground electric, phone, and TV lines as well as tracer lines for water. Non-electrically conductive conduits, such as PVC, Concrete & Plastic lines, are generally non locatable with electronic equipment. Where applicable we can run a tracer wire down the line to trace out the pipe. The only other method is to Witch. Witching is only detecting the disturbance of the ground and NOT the pipe. Witching is not a guaranteed locate to where the line is.
GROUND FAULT DETECTION:
American Utility Specialists utilize both analog and digital fault finding equipment to provide the most accurate location of both sheath damage and cable faults in signal or electric, phone, and Cable TV delivery cables.
PROPERTY LINE MONUMENT LOCATION:
American Utility Specialists utilize the latest technology in metal detection to identify buried property line monuments.
